Come make games worth loving.

Rad Games builds two universes of games and the engine they run on. We’re looking for people who care how a game feels in the hands, who like making things more than talking about them, and who want their work to reach players of every kind.

How we work

Fun first

The first question about anything we build is whether it makes the game more fun. If the answer is no, it waits.

Make the thing

We’d rather put a playable build in front of you than a slide deck. Rigor goes into the work, not into ceremony around it.

Say the hard thing

Push back on weak ideas — including ours. Honest, specific feedback is how good games get great.

Fair to players

No loot boxes, no gacha, no pay-to-win. We protect players’ trust, their time and their privacy — especially the youngest ones.

Engineering

Gameplay Engineer (Rust/Bevy)

Build the moment-to-moment feel of our games in Rust and Bevy — the movement, the hits, the hundred enemies on screen at sixty frames a second.

What you’ll do

  • Own gameplay systems end to end, from first prototype to a shipped, tuned feature.
  • Turn a design want into a mechanic that feels great in the hands, then prove it in playtests.
  • Raise what the games need from the Janus Engine as clear, genre-neutral requirements.

You might be a fit if

  • You’ve shipped gameplay code and care how a dash, a jump or a hit-stop feels.
  • You write Rust you’d be happy to read in a year, and you know your way around an ECS.
  • Profilers and frame budgets don’t scare you — on mobile or PC.
Art

Technical Artist (AI pipelines)

Sit between our artists, our AI art pipeline and the engine — and make sure what comes out the other end is beautiful, on-model and game-ready.

What you’ll do

  • Shape the pipeline from concept to keyed, packed, engine-ready sprite sheets and atlases.
  • Build quality gates that catch off-model art early: silhouettes, palettes, contrast and readability.
  • Partner with artists on the human finishing pass that turns a good generation into our art.

You might be a fit if

  • You have a strong eye and real art fundamentals, plus the scripting chops to automate the boring parts.
  • You’ve worked with texture atlases, color pipelines and real-time rendering constraints.
  • You treat provenance and rights as part of the craft, not paperwork.
Design

Game Designer — Puppies vs. Kittens

Help design four games in one house. Every animal in Puppies vs. Kittens wants one thing, and your job is to turn each want into a mechanic players fall in love with.

What you’ll do

  • Design and tune characters, enemies, bosses and progression across the Puppies vs. Kittens series.
  • Keep the faction thesis sharp: the Pack goes wide, the Clowder goes tall.
  • Run playtests, read the data and cut anything that isn’t fun.

You might be a fit if

  • You’ve shipped or deeply modded games in genres like survivors-likes, deckbuilders or auto-battlers.
  • You can write a clear spec and then throw it out when the playtest says so.
  • You know cute and grown-up aren’t opposites, and you design for players of every age.
Community

Community Lead

Be the voice of Rad Games to our players — and their voice inside the studio — across two very different universes.

What you’ll do

  • Build and run our player communities across social channels, community servers and store pages.
  • Bring player feedback into the studio quickly and clearly, and close the loop publicly.
  • Shape community safety from day one, including spaces where younger players are welcome.

You might be a fit if

  • You’ve grown a games community and you know the difference between loud and representative.
  • You write warmly and clearly, and you can switch between cozy and grimdark without losing your voice.
  • You take player safety and privacy seriously, without making it feel like a lecture.
